Full day excursion to the beautiful villages of Balagne that include Pigna and Calenzana. The perched villages of Balagne is the range of small villages set in the hillsides to the east of Calvi.
There are literally dozens of these small villages, each with their own particular appeal and particular setting, and almost always their own little church.
Time spent exploring these quiet roads exposes a Corsica that is far from the crowds of the popular resorts and beaches, and also very beautiful, with many fine views across the region.

Often called an island within an island, the Cap Corse is a maquis covered peninsula whose history sets it apart from the rest of the island. Tiny ports divide the east side as the western villages are sited on rugged cliffs. On the west of Cap Corse, narrow roads wind above a dramatically serrated coastline, dotted with little coves, whilst the sea washes on the rocks below and woods and maquis outline the peaks above. Take a day driving around the Cap Corse and discover landscapes of astounding beauty.
Today lunch will be served at the "Vieux Moulin" in Centuri.

The island of La Tavolara, Italian for "the table", is famous for being the setting for James Bond vs. Dr. No. And no! The film wasn't just shot in Jamaica. Only one anchorage is authorized in the south-west of the island: "Palmatore". Tavolara is superb, with its large rocky plateau reminiscent of the Rock of Gibraltar or Cape Town. The beach in Palmatore Bay has a touch of the West Indies about it, and is well worth a visit! Opposite the landing stage, the restaurant is run by a real princess. Indeed, the family that occupies most of this part of the island is descended from local personalities who received the title of "Royal Family of Tavolara" from the King of Italy at the end of the 19th century. Visit the small cemetery to learn more about this original family.
By mid-afternoon, you'll reach Cala di Volpe, a two-hour sail away.
Late afternoon stroll around Cala di Volpe, a superb cove lined with sumptuous villas and a splendid Starwood luxury hotel.

After breakfast, you'll set sail for the famous bay of Porto Cervo. Here you'll discover an impressive concentration of yachts and luxury villas. It's clear from the moment you arrive: this is the place for people and paparazzi! As these people treat themselves to the best, needless to say, the place is particularly beautiful. The village is charming. It, too, was entirely conceived and designed in the 1960s by the famous Italian architect and designer Luigi Vietti, for the needs of billionaire prince Karim Aga Khan IV's major tourist real estate development program. Lunch will be taken on board at Porto Cervo or a short distance away, facing Pevero beach.
Your afternoon will be spent in Cala Brigantino, on the island of Caprera: a beautiful little wild anchorage, looking like a pirate hideaway, in an arid setting of scrubland, exhaling the scent of asphodel. Ideal for swimming and strolling in peace and quiet.
In the late afternoon, you'll leave this natural refuge for Porto Rafael, a beautiful cove at the foot of a luxury resort. A haven for billionaires, Porto Rafael was built in the 60s and bears the name of its architect. The villas are all very beautiful, and there's no shortage of vegetation. You'll discover a pretty square with a 70s Ibiza feel, a small pontoon and an alleyway leading up to Harry's Bar.
Overnight and anchorage in Porto Rafael.

Numerous paths wind through dry, compact scrubland. It's a paradise for walkers, yachtsmen and divers. The archipelago has been strictly regulated since it was declared a nature reserve in 1982. It's forbidden to stray from the marked paths! You'll have a good part of the day to enjoy swimming, white sand beaches and walks on these unspoilt islands. You'll then stop off for the night in Bonifacio, an atypical town perched on a limestone cliff, an open-air museum. It offers exceptional views. If you feel like it, you can take advantage of its lively nightlife, with small bars, restaurants on the port or in the alleyways, craft stores...
