    Halifax

    Enjoy a guided orientation tour of Halifax that includes the harbor area, the fairview cemetery where vicims of the Titanic are buried, the Citadel and the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. Enjoy some free time in town to do as you please

    DAY 3 - July 10

    Peggy's Cove - Lunenburg

    This morning drive to Peggy's Cove, nestled on a rocky coastline with stunning vistas, it is a magnet for artists and photographers. Enjoy free time before continuing to Mahone Bay, a picture-postcard maritime town, and then the fishing village of Lunenburg for a walking tour with a local guide and a visit to the Fisheries Museum. Old town Lunenburg was declared a UNESCO  World Heritage Site, as one of the best surviving examples of a planned British Colonial settlement in North America. Return to Halifax this afternoon.

    DAY 4 - July 11

    Halifax - Moncton

    This morning depart Halifax and travel north west towards Moncton where you will stop at  Fort Beausejour In the heart of Mi'kma'ki, in the Chignecto isthmus, this star-shaped fort became the scene of three acts of war between France and Great Britain, the deportation of the Acadians and the tearing apart of British North America. Arrive in Moncton, "the crossroads of the Maritimes" on the Petitcodiac River. Afterwards drive to Shediac, the Lobster capital of the World for a lovely lunch at Moque Tortue before enjoying some free tine in this quaint little town.

      DAY 5 - July 12

      Hopewell Rocks - Bay of Fundy - Cape Enrage

      These famous "giant flowerpots" have been carved by the bay of Fundy tides and walking among them at low tide remains a remarkable experience. You will then stop at Cape Enrage lighthouse where the tides rise as much as 53 feet where you will have a "Fossil Tour". Stop in Alma  for a seafood lunch and a walk on the beach.

      DAY 6 - July 13

      Moncton - Confederation Bridge - Charlottetown

      Drive towards Prince Edward Island and cross the 8 mile long Confederation bridge, the longest of its kind, this is where you will meet Paul, your guide who will take you through country roads to Charlottetown and will take you to a local lunch, you will stop by Cow's ice cream factory afterwards for dessert.

        DAY 7 - July 14

        Prince Edward Island National Park - Green Gables


        Enjoy a guided morning tour of Charlottetown. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Red sand beaches line the shores of Prince Edward Island National Park, along with wind sculpted dunes and broad inlets. Explore the park and continue on to the fishing village of North Rustico Harbor to see its scenic views and lighthouse.

        Step back in time on a visit to Green Gables Heritage Place, the site of the home and farm that inspired Lucy Maud Montgomery's literary masterpiece, Anne of Green Gables.. Go inside "Anne's" home and view rooms set up as they were described by the author.

        DAY 8 - July 15

        Charlottetown - Baddeck

        Today ferry to mainland Nova Scotia where you will drive over a causeway to Cape Breton Island. known to the French as "Isle Royale", this island changed hands between colonial powers several times creating a culture that blends Acadian and Gaelic traditions. Enjoy panoramic views of the Canso Causeway and travel along the coast of Bras D'Or Lake, which is an inland sea ringed with cliffs and rolling mountains.

        Visit the Alexander Graham Bell National historic Site chronicling Bell's life and work. the visit includes a presentation that is a "virtual walk" through the museum's exhibits

        DAY 9 - July 16

        The Cabot Trail - Whale Watching - Gaelic Culture

        Today head north to experience breathtaking coastal landscapes on the Cabot Trail, one of the World's  most exciting and scenic drives. Enjoy a whale watching cruise onboard a zodiac and  joining us tonight for a "Kitchen Party" a Cape Breton tradition featuring local cuisine, and Celtic music.
